Ten churches come together at Lineville Baptist Church in Carey Association for a ‘Building Hope’ dinner in May to raise funds for Mescal’s Children’s Center of Hope (MCCH), an orphanage in Kenya named for Lineville resident Mescal Griffin. ‘Because of her dedication to missions and love for people, it was named in her memory,’ Larry Cummings, transitional pastor at Lineville Baptist, said. Over 200 people participated in the dinner, which MCCH President Charlotte Robertson, Mescal’s daughter, called a ‘wonderful evening.’
