JD Greear headlining Alabama Baptist Pastors Conference in November

BIRMINGHAM (TAB) — Well-known pastor, theologian and author J.D. Greear has been added to lineup of the Alabama Baptist Pastors Conference on Nov. 13 at Whitesburg Baptist Church, Huntsville.

Greear is the pastor of The Summit Church, Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, and author of several books including “Gaining by Losing: Why the Future Belongs to Churches That Send.”

Under Greear’s leadership The Summit Church has grown from 300 to nearly 10,000, a trend that Greear attributes to being a church body focused on sending faithful believers out for the gospel’s sake.

This year’s pastors conference will focus on Finish (2 Tim. 4:7). Greear will join other well-known names to Alabamians such as longtime pastors Teman Knight, Scott Guffin and Jimmy Jackson. Greear will wrap up the conference in the evening session which is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
