Lubie F. Lipham, a retired pastor and member of Coldwater Baptist Church, Calhoun Association, Died Jan. 27.

Lipham was a pastor for 47 years serving Alabama churches. He was licensed and ordained in 1953. He first served at Coleman Baptist Church, Clay County.

He also served in the same county at Shiloh Baptist Church.

Lipham served three churches twice: Jenifer Baptist and Westside Baptist, Coosa River Association; and Coldwater Baptist, Oxford. Other churches include: Evening Star Baptist Church, Pell City; and Oakridge Baptist Church, Anniston,,. Nine of his pastorates were bivocational.

Lipham was fond of saying, If you can’t say something good about somebody, don’t say nothing at all and you’ll always come out on the winning side.”

He is survived by his wife, Mildred, three adult children, nine grandchildren and three great-grand children. (TAB)
