Oscar B. Cotton, pastor of Corinth Baptist Church in Randolph County for 31 years, died Jan. 11. He was 75. Cotton also served as pastor at Ohatchee Baptist Church, Calhoun Association; Antioch Oxford Baptist Church, Oxford; Chulafinnee Baptist Church, Heflin; Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Heflin; Calvary Baptist Church, Warrior; White Plains Baptist Church, Calhoun Association; and Spring Garden Baptist Church, Cherokee Association. Cotton was the owner/operator of Cotton Furniture Co. He was on the board of directors for BB&T Bank and served as chaplain for the Cheaha Vintage Car Club. He is survived by his wife, Henri Lynn Cotton; a daughter, Nancy Burnell of Oxford; one brother, Lindy Cotton of DeFuniak Springs, Fla; and four grandchildren.
