'I love and appreciate my Mother because ... 'comment (0)

May 10, 2012

Our mother has the most caring and selfless heart of any woman we know. She made it her priority to make sure that her children, students, choir students and the babies in the nursery knew what it meant to have a heart like Christ. She continues this today as our family grows with sons-in-law and grandbabies. Thank you, mama, for being all that you are and for helping us grow into the women we are today. We love you.

My mother was consistent in discipline, training, homemaking and laughing. Her sense of humor was contagious even when her mind was impaired. She sought God’s truth with passion as well. I will always miss her.

She loved the Lord and people. She never met a stranger. If you knew Jeannie Crowder, you were immediately her friend.

Anne Lucas

I think my mom’s heart is shaped like the heart of Jesus. She is not perfect, but her compassion for others and willingness to serve — even in the least desirable ways — points me to Christ. My mom is always putting her love for me and others on display. She challenges me, encourages me and reminds me that God is love, He loves us and He calls us to love Him and others.

Chris Mills

I love and appreciate my mother because she instilled in me a love for Jesus and His Word. I miss her greatly. She has been dead for over 2 years but through her testimony, life and death, my wife — at 40 years old — came to know Jesus as her Savior and Lord.

Steven Short

I love and appreciate my mother because she has always been a good Christian example for me. As a teenager she would always tell me to pray about things. At the time I resented this response. Now I cherish it. I love you, mom.
