Q: What led you to serve the WMU?
A: From the time I was young I was pulled into missions … we had a vacant house next to our church and I established a missions house there.
Q: Why have you continued in ministry through the years?
A: I feel that’s where God has called me. I love [it] and feel such a need for it.
Q: What does the ministry demand?
A: It just demands that you love it and feel called to do it. You have to organize your time. Even though I was an educator for 38 years I never gave up my church work.
Q: How do family members support you?
A: My husband helps me with projects. We do Meals On Wheels together. We always work together. My children have followed suit and are doing the same work. I’ve had full support from my family.
Q: How do you see yourself involved in this in the future?
A: I intend to work as long as the Lord blesses us. I do not intend to stop. Like I tell my Sunday School group, God never said when you are supposed to retire. You are supposed to keep working. I never will stop working.
