Rose Walker. Mountain Home, Ark.: BorderStone Press, 2012. 128 pp. (Paperback).
"A Mom’s Mentality” was written for and to the author’s son, her firstborn child, on the eve of his leaving for college. She also dedicated it to her other two children, both daughters. The book is a collection of letters, prayers, Bible verses and memories from the children’s childhoods. Did you ever say you wanted to write down all the cute things your children said so you could remember them? Walker apparently did, and she shares them in this small volume.
The book is easily read in a sitting, but the author has included a number of lined pages for the reader to write down notes and thoughts.
Intensely personal, the book is sure to be a treasure to Walker’s three children.
