Digital devicescomment (0)

February 13, 2014

I am responding to the recent article titled “Digital Devices in Worship Services.”

Since when did the Holy Bible become too heavy to carry? Will God’s holy Word in book form become obsolete?

When you see a Bible in a person’s hand it is a witness. You know what is in it. The other devices represent all kinds of entertainment.

I am not saying it is not more convenient to stick an iPhone or other digital device in your purse or coat pocket. I am not saying people who do this are doing wrong to use them in church. What I am saying is that thewitness of the Word is gone.

When I walk out my door with my Bible in hand on Sunday, my neighbors and anyone passing know that I am going to church.

I know the devices are here to stay, but I think we are letting too much worldly influence in our churches today.
