Q: How did you become a Christian?
A: One of my sisters asked me didn’t I want to be saved. I was about 10 or 12 years old. I really thought about that. When I was about 14, I went to church with a friend and God spoke to me. I trusted Him for salvation.
Q: What are some of your earliest memories of church?
A: Usually one service a month. No Sunday School. No music. The men sat on one side of the church and the women on the other side.
Q: How were you called into the ministry?
A: I felt the call into the ministry when I was about 20 years old. I surrendered to that call about seven years later when my 4½-year-old son was killed by a falling tombstone.
Q: What did you get from the ministry?
A: God blessed me many ways. The greatest was seeing so many people saved.
Q: How do family members support you?
A: My family supported me in many ways. I was a farmer. My wife and children took care of everything. Each summer, I would be in revival six to eight weeks for many years. My ministry always came first.
