Q: What led you to begin volunteering?
A: Having retired after teaching science for 30 years, I wanted to continue helping people.
Q: Why is volunteering important to you?
A: To me, it’s the key to enjoying living. I think it’s a valuable way of using my time, and I feel like it’s God’s desire that we help others.
Q: What does the ministry demand?
A: Giving my time.
Q: What do you get from the ministry?
A: Enjoyment and blessings. I know when I see each of those people, I will try to add some sunshine to them, but they are really blessings to me.
Q: How do family members support you?
Q: How do you see yourself involved in this in the future?
A: I hope to continue. Every day, my prayer is that God will give me someone to help.
Q: What difference will this work make for you in the future?
A: It will make me keep active. It’s amazing what it does for me.
