Eastdale youth conference sees 91 decisions comment (0)

Seeking to reach out to high school and college students in the area, Eastdale Baptist Church, Montgomery, hosted Revolution of the Heart conference with Ken Freeman, a Southern Baptist evangelist from Texas, Nov. 9–13.
Freeman spoke at the Montgomery Baptist Association church each night, followed by a concert four nights and a performance by an illusionist one night. Nearly 250 students attended the event each night, said Josh Lansford, senior pastor of Eastdale Baptist. Freeman also visited several schools, including Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery, where he had 400 students “captivated,” Lansford said. “One of the key things was to get Ken in schools and just be able to share a lot of his story and a lot about making right choices.”
When all was said and done, 91 decisions had been made for Christ. Lansford said this was the first time the church has hosted such an event and would like to do it again.
