Alabama Baptist State Convention related meetings

Each year at the Alabama Baptist State Convention annual meeting, various groups across Alabama Baptist life meet to connect and conduct business. Meeting alongside this year’s convention, which will be held at Eastmont Baptist Church, Montgomery, on Nov. 15–16, are:

Alabama Church Planter Network The Alabama Church Planter Network will host a dinner Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, Montgomery. Special guest speaker will be Jeff Christopherson, vice president of the Send Network of the North American Mission Board. Following dinner, separate sessions will be held for church planters and their wives. Registration will open at 4:30 p.m. and child care will be provided. To register, visit plantalabama.org.

Volunteers in Missions — The Volunteers in Missions will host a light “pick-up lunch” at Eastmont Baptist Church, Montgomery, on Nov. 15 in Room 129 at noon. The Volunteer of the Year will be announced during the state convention annual meeting. For more information, contact the State Board of Missions at 1-800-264-1225, ext. 238.

Alabama African-American Pastors — The Alabama African-American Pastors dinner will be held Nov. 14 at Southlawn Baptist Church, Montgomery, at 5 p.m. Special guest speaker will be Terrence Jones, pastor of Strong Tower at Washington Park, Montgomery. To register, visit alsbom.org/convention.

Alabama Network of Christian Community Ministers (ANCCM) — ANCCM will meet Nov. 14 at the Forest Park Ministry Annex at 1551 East Ann Street in Montgomery. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the program begins at 9. Guest speaker will be Donna McCullough, director of Forest Park Ministry Center in Montgomery, who will share about “Client Choice: The Whys and Hows.” Lunch is included. Director of Missions — The Director of Missions meeting will be held Nov. 14 at McGehee Road Baptist Church, Montgomery. Registration and fellowship will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a business meeting at 11. Steve Bass, vice president for convention relations (west) for the North American Mission Board, will be the guest speaker during lunch. Deadline to register is Nov. 7. Southwestern alumni lunch set

Alumni and friends of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, are invited to a lunch meeting set for Nov. 14 in Huntsville.

The Alumni & Friends Luncheon is being held in conjunction with the Alabama Baptist State Convention annual meeting Nov. 14–15 at Whitesburg Baptist Church, Huntsville.

The Southwestern luncheon is from noon to 1:30 at Logan’s Roadhouse, 4249 Balmoral Dr. SW, Huntsville, and is Dutch treat.

Gil McKee, pastor of First Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, is organizing the event. Michael Crisp will be the featured speaker.
