Billy Joe Lett, a longtime Alabama Baptist pastor and director of missions, died April 15. He was 84. A graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School in Birmingham, Lett earned his bachelor’s degree from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee.
