Mary Alice Hicks of Montevallo, nurse for Shocco Springs Conference Center for 14 years, died April 12 at age 87 in Alabaster. A registered nurse, Hicks and her late husband, Welton Grady Hicks, were charter members of University Baptist Church, Montevallo.
