Richard grew up in Baptist churches in Eufaula, Alabama, and served as youth minister at Florida’s New Smyrna Beach Baptist Church. He graduated from Baptist College of Florida and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., and served in a variety of roles with Christianity Today before moving into his current position as director of media innovation with Useful Group, a marketing agency.
