Jennifer Rash

Jennifer Davis Rash,
President and Editor-in-Chief

Jennifer Davis Rash serves as president and editor-in-chief of TAB Media Group.

A native of Phil Campbell, Rash earned her associate’s degree from Northwest Community College, her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Alabama and her master of theological studies from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham. In June 2020, she was honored with a doctor of humane letters from Judson College in Marion.

Rash came to TAB Media Group in January 1996 as a news writer and worked her way up to managing editor then executive editor before being named editor-elect in 2015. She then became the first female editor of a major Baptist newspaper on Jan. 1, 2019. Throughout the years, she has helped lead the editorial team to win more than 275 national awards and was honored with the Joanne Sloan National Award for the Encouragement of Writers in 2021.

While on staff at TAB Media Group, Rash has served in a variety of national, state and church leadership roles. Some of the roles include serving as president of Baptist Communicators Association and vice president of Associated Church Press, two national organizations for professional Christian communicators, and in various positions with Religion Communicators Council, Evangelical Press Association and Alabama Press Association. She also is a past president of the Association of State Baptist Publications and has served on a variety of study committees and task forces for ASBP through the years.

Before coming to TAB Media Group she served for two years with the International Mission Board and Caribbean Christian Publications.

She and her husband, Jason, are active members of NorthPark Baptist Church, Trussville.

Robin McCall,
Executive Assistant

Robin joined TAB Media Group in March 2022. She serves part time as a copy editor. Prior to working at TAB Media Group, Robin worked at Woman’s Missionary Union, beginning her career there as an editor and writer. She served as Hub Manager of Content and Marketing her final two years at WMU before retiring to help care for her parents. She graduated summa cum laude from University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. Robin and her husband, Bill, have two grown sons and two grandsons. Daniel Gilliland,
Content Manager

Daniel is a native of Birmingham and has been working with TAB Media Group since May 2022. Daniel graduated from the University of Alabama in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies. He then earned a master of divinity in 2018 from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham. Daniel and his wife, Maggie, are members of Iron City Church. Carrie Brown McWhorter

Carrie Brown McWhorter,
Special Assignments Editor

Carrie has worked with TAB Media Group since 1995, when she joined the editorial staff as a part-time news writer. From 1996 to 2018 she contributed many articles and worked on special assignments as a freelance writer and editor. From Jan. 1, 2019, to December 2023, she served as full-time content editor. Beginning in 2024, she will serve as a special assignments editor. Carrie graduated from the University of Alabama in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Spanish. She received a Master’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Alabama in 1995 and a Master’s Degree in English from the University of West Georgia in 2003. From 1998 to 2018, she taught English at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton. Carrie and her husband, Owen, live in Fruithurst, Alabama. They have one son, Avery, and one daughter, Stella. Grace Thornton

Grace Thornton,
Special Assignments Editor

Grace Thornton has been part of the TAB Media team since 2003. She also served in international missions for several years. Grace has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and English from Mississippi College and has done some graduate study at the University of Alabama and Southern Seminary. Hannah Muñoz

Hannah Muñoz Pruitt,
Digital Editor

Hannah first came to TAB Media Group as an intern in March 2014 where she served with the editorial team until her graduation from Samford University in May 2017. She then transitioned to a full-time role in customer relations and became the digital editor at the beginning of 2019. While serving as an intern, Hannah also worked part-time at WIAT-CBS 42 News in Birmingham. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in journalism and mass communication and Spanish and a minor in Latin American studies. She is a member of The Church at Brook Hills, Birmingham. Hannah and her husband, Andrew, were married on November 11, 2023, and attend The Church at Brook Hills. Dianna Cagle

Dianna Cagle,
Special Assistant to the Editor

Dianna Cagle has been part of the TAB Media team since March 2021. Previously, she was assistant editor for North Carolina’s Biblical Recorder, staff member of several daily newspapers and a US/C-2 missionary with the North American Mission Board. Dianna has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and history from the University of Alabama and a master’s of divinity degree in biblical counseling from Southeastern Seminary. Debbie Campbell

Debbie Campbell,
Director of Communications

Debbie began working at TAB Media Group on Jan. 3, 1998. She served as a proofreader with the editorial department and local edition coordinator before assuming the role of director of circulation and public relations on April 1, 2005. She became director of communications in January 2019. Her earlier employment includes management positions with Neiman Marcus and Dallas Fire & Life Insurance Co. A native Texan, Debbie graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in the fields of speech and journalism. Maggie Evans

Maggie Evans,
Operations Manager

Maggie rejoined TAB Media Group in August 2020. She began with TAB Media Group as a summer intern in May 2012 and first joined the staff in June 2014 as an office assistant before becoming a permanent editorial employee later that year. Between stints with TAB Media Group, Maggie served as a financial coordinator for Gooch Family Dental, acting as a patient advocate with insurance companies. She graduated magna cum laude from Troy University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in communication studies. Maggie and her husband, Sam, have two children. Pam Holt

Pam Holt,
Advertising Representative

Pam has been employed at TAB Media Group since July 2008 and moved to an outside advertising sales representative position in 2015. Prior to coming to the paper, she owned a retail business in the Fairhope area, worked with an international company as corporate manager of benefits in human resources and also has years of sales experience working in the healthcare industries. She was one of the original people to organize and start Riverchase United Methodist Church, Hoover, where she remains a member. She has two children, two grandsons with each having incredible wives, and three great-grandchildren that she adores in the Birmingham and Fairhope areas. James Hammack,

James Hammack has been part of the TAB Media team since 2016 and began full time in 2019. Jessica Ingram

Jessica has been part of TAB Media since 2018. Previously, she interned at national Woman’s Missionary Union, headquartered in Birmingham, and worked at the Homewood Public Library. Jessica has a bachelor’s degree in English from Mississippi State University and achieved a certificate of publishing from the Denver Publishing Institute. Lauren Grim

Lauren C. Grim,
Creative Services Manager

Lauren has been employed by TAB Media since Aug. 10, 2004. She joined the staff as an editorial intern and then was appointed part-time web/advertising assistant on Jan. 1, 2005. On April 1, 2006, she became the full-time graphic designer. She became the creative services manager in January 2019. A native of Clarksdale, Mississippi, Lauren received a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design at Mississippi College. She has earned 16 hours in theological studies at Beeson Divinity School. She and her husband, Myles, live in Hernando, Mississippi. They have a daughter, Alana, and a son, Mason, and are members of Hernando Baptist Church. Sarah Gill,
Subscription Manager

Sarah joined TAB Media Group part-time in April 2017. She transitioned into a full-time position in August 2020 and is currently the subscription manager. She is originally from Albertville and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in landscape design and horticulture from Auburn University. She has experience in church software training and customer technology support. Sarah and her husband, Bryan, have a son, Charles, and a daughter, Perri. Deb Lowery

Deborah Lowery,
Financial Assistant

Deb has been employed with TAB Media Group since 2009. She spent more than 20 years as a stay-at-home mom, wife and home educator to two of her children and one of her grandchildren. Prior to that she worked in real estate accounting for 15 years, the last six years of that time employed with Sloss Development Group as their financial assistant and assistant property manager. Deb and her husband, Wes, have served with Mayan Missions in Central America, Belize, evangelizing and working with several Vacation Bible Schools. Annette began working at TAB Media Group on Sept. 16, 2019. Prior to joining TAB Media Group, she had more than 25 years of human resources experience with two local insurance companies in the Birmingham area. Annette and her high school sweetheart, Barry, have been married for 44 years. They are active members of NorthPark Baptist Church, Trussville. They have one daughter, Alexandra, who is an English professor at Jefferson State Community College. Alexandra and her husband, Will, have two kids, Liam and Amelia.
