Congregations from various denominations will once again come together for Talladega’s 5th Annual Afternoon of Praise, a fundraiser benefitting The Red Door Kitchen and The Samaritan House.
The event — which will be Aug. 20 at the Ritz Theatre — will feature two showings, one at 2:30 p.m. and the other at 4:30 p.m. More than 100 singers and orchestra members will be led by Dove Award nominee Richard Kingsmore.
Organizers urge community members to “come prepared to praise God, enjoy music we all love and support organizations that help those in need in our community.”
The Red Door Kitchen provides meals to more than 100 people each weekday, while The Samaritan House provides food, clothing and financial assistance to those who need it in Talladega County.
