Want to help with Hurricane Harvey relief?

As the floodwaters of Hurricane Harvey recede, trained Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers will begin deploying to the impacted areas of Texas.

If you would like to help storm victims by serving as part of what some have called the “Yellow Shirt Army,” join us Sept. 2, 9 a.m.–noon, in Prattville for Emergency Disaster Relief Training. Two primary topics will be covered: “Involving Southern Baptists in Disaster Relief” and “Cleanup/Recovery/Mudout.”

If you are unable to attend the Prattville training — located at 118 Jesse Samuel Hunt Boulevard — we will soon be announcing identical training events in other parts of Alabama to take place during early to mid-September. After the places and times of the training events are finalized, we will be announcing these events on the www.SBDR.org home page.

Although pre-registration is ordinarily requested for Disaster Relief training, for these events we will be welcoming walk-in (same-day) registrants as well. If you decide to register in person instead of online, we would ask that you arrive by 8 a.m. to complete registration before training begins at 9. Cost is $35 per person.
